So many bands change into unrecognizable shadows of their former selves. Not 311. They continue to step it up and bring new things to the table while remaining true to themselves and loyal to their fans.

This album in particular has a definitive mix of punk, alternative, and a uniqueness not heard in other 311 albums. 311 shows increasing maturity in their music, Uplifter offers some very listenable tracks. High on the list is "Two Drops In The Ocean", a mellow cut that pulls it all together: interesting vocals, solid musicianship, and a good feel lyric that perfectly supports the upbeat theme of the album. The hard rock jam moments are generally well constructed.

Face it folks with 311, you can't go wrong. They show you the positive side of life and if you really listen, you'll hear it.
